Episode #7

powered by podcast garden

(Sorry for the different player this week! We're experiencing some issues with Sound Cloud and hope to have them resolved quickly. In the meantime, you should be able to listen with this player or if you'd prefer you can listen or download the episode on Podcast Garden.)

Welcome back to episode number seven of Nail Newscast!

First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian listeners! We hope you got your fill of turkey and pumpkin pie. We are thankful for each and every one of you - without the listeners we would have no reason for doing this. <3

This week we quickly ran through some new collections and had the pleasure of chatting with Stephanie of WingDust Collections. She also joined us for a discussion on the various aspects of selling versus keeping the samples that bloggers receive for review.

Collections Mentioned:

ILNP - new bottles and sneak peak of an upcoming rainbow metallic shard/flakie polish
KBShimmer - Spot Sign
Glam Polish - Welcome to Storybrooke collection
Literary Lacquers - Rebecca trio & Alzheimer's charity polish

  1. I have swapped or gifted a few press samples (less than I could count on one hand), but only ones that were great polish that just didn't fit my personal style, or clashed with my skin tone. I figured it's better that they get used and loved instead of just sitting on a shelf.

I also swap with other Canadians for the most part. Sometimes this gives them the opportunity to try a new brand without spending the $8+ shipping rate from the states. If they love it they'll probably order more from the brand in the future.
